Our Mission

We are steadfast in our mission to clean and explore the unknown depths of Lake Tahoe through the use of remotely operated vehicle (ROV) technology, volunteer scuba divers and free divers, and inspiring stewardship to the community through public education and outreach.

Lindsay Kopf and her father came up with the brilliant idea to research and clean up Lake Tahoe using state-of-the-art ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles), and the rest was history. Lindsay relocated from the Bay Area to Lake Tahoe and began setting up the 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. Today, the foundation has three ROVs that research and remove waste from the lake, in addition to professional scuba divers free divers, and shoreline beach cleanup volunteers to clean up the lake. In 2024 alone, the foundation removed 13.4 tons of unnatural debris from Lake Tahoe. In 2025, the foundation made every primetime news outlet in Nevada & California by broadcasting the first ever livestream of a dive to the bottom of the lake to the public!
